2010 Salaries for Cisco CCIE Certified Individuals

Author: Salaries for IT professionals have varied over the past few years. Still, those professionals holding one of Cisco’s CCIE certifications continue to demand the highest salaries. A recent survey by Payscale indicates that the salary you can demand with your CCIE certification depends a lot on your job role.
This makes sense because the more responsibilities you have, you will generally be worth more to your employer. While compensation by employers may vary widely, one common truth continues to hold true: an employer will pay an employee an amount they can justify based on the value that employee brings to the organization. If you are worth more to your employer, you will earn more compensation from your employer.
Salary is not the only measure of “success” when it comes to the value of being certified. Being Cisco CCIE certified gives you a much better chance of being on the better projects, being asked for your technical opinion and being one of the first names that comes to mind when your employer needs a technical expert.
There have always been many reasons to become certified, with the Cisco CCIE certification being of particular value. With the IT industry ready to boom once again, now could be the perfect time for you to become Cisco CCIE certified.

I really like what you blog about here, very fresh and intelligent. One issue though, I’m running Firefox on Debian and parts of your content are a little off. I know it’s not a common setup, but it is still something to to keep in mind. Just shooting you a heads up.
Well sad to say, being a Cisco CCIE cert, finding a job here in Florida granting over $100k is hard to find. Currently making just over $100k, but seems searches and a couple of offers require a pay set back. Disappointing seeing CCIE certs in employment ads with salaries under $100k, and some well under.
